Salvation & The Catholic Church - Part 4
Rite of Entrance Preparation -- Testimonies and Mini Retereat
What we did in the session this week 11/26/24
We watched this commercial for the Catholic Church followed by some time asking Jesus our own questions about how He wants us to come closer to Him through His Church and a time of small group sharing.
Then Jess and Paul shared their truly beautiful gift of a testimony for the first time in public with our group...we are honored. You should definitely listen if you weren't able to be at the meeting!
After listening to this POWERFUL testimony from two of our group members (thank you, Jess and Paul!!) we had some more small group time to debrief and also to reflect on some of the prayers in our upcoming Rite of Entrance in light of our own commitment or recommitment to Jesus.
Reflection we did in class...feel free to do (again) at home or in future prayer times:
We read Luke 5: 1-11 the call of Peter and meditated on this in our own lives.
Then, taking 5 minutes to ask the Holy Spirt to inspire your imagination to see your life and journey with God -- past, present and future as the epic story that it is....start with your birth and allow the Holy Spirit to highlight scenes from your life --see them from Heaven's perspective...see where Jesus is calling you to go now.
